**The opportunity**

The purpose of the role is to provide leadership and coaching to a team of Client Remediation Compensation Analysts to ensure:

- The team follows a clear policy and applies a principle-based compensation evaluation to each case, which is consistent with established processes and industry best practice
- Clients who have received inappropriate advice are placed back into the position they should have been in
- Compensation is calculated in a fair and consistent manner

The role is also responsible for ensuring that trends and themes are reported back to Manager, Professional Standards Remediation.

**How you will make an impact**

The Team Leader is responsible for leading, mentoring and coaching the Client Remediation Compensation Analysts to ensure consistency and accurate execution of the remediation program.
- Manage team workflow to ensure KPIs and regulatory requirements are met.
- Support the team in delivering an end to end customer remediation program that is valued by both our customers and advisers.
- Provide high level technical advice to the team; using skills to form an assessment of a customer’s loss and related issues to their circumstances. Work through appropriate customer compensation solutions.
- Work closely with other teams to ensure that the client remediation program complies with AMP standards and regulatory requirements.
- Continuous support and monitoring of policies for the team.
- Ensure that reporting / monitoring obligations are fulfilled.
- Identifying, recognising and evaluating the impact of compensation and utilising external econometric and legal indices.
- Analyse key themes identified through customer remediation programs. Provide feedback to Manager, Professional Standards Remediation and other advice business areas.

**What you will bring to the role**

You should have experience and qualifications in the following areas;
- Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or any equivalent.
- Experience in a leadership role, with demonstrated experience in leading and coaching a team of qualified professionals.
- 5 years’ experience in an advice role e.g. remediation, policy, advice solutions development, compliance.
- Experience in managing relationships with licensees and financial planners and understanding their needs.
- Demonstrated project management skills and attention to detail.
