Purpose of Role

An opportunity exists for a passionate Product Manager with a strong desire to build SaaS products that deliver positive outcomes for customers in the Accounting & Tax segment. You will have exceptional problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and be an effective communicator. You are experienced in making prioritization decisions and can work with all stakeholders across the value chain to address our customer’s needs and deliver products seamlessly.

What will define your success?

As Product Manager, you will own and drive the commercial outcomes for our compliance product offerings including our tax and ledger products.

To be successful you will need to work collaboratively with product owners, other product managers, technology, sales, marketing, consulting, customer success and support teams with strong alignment to your product strategy.

Key areas of responsibility:

- Market Understanding - Partner with our customers, prospects and key stakeholders to develop a clear understanding of the market and its opportunities to create actionable business outcomes in alignment with Wolters Kluwer APAC business strategy.
- Solve customer problems - Develop strong understanding of the customer problems through contextual inquiry and then translate them into defined requirements that can be delivered in an iterative approach by close collaboration with other product managers, UI/UX designers, engineers and wider technology team.
- Product Lifecycle Management - manage and own the entire Product Lifecycle, from gathering and prioritising product requirements, developing business cases, defining the product vision to working closely with the engineering team.
- Customer Success & Go to market - Develop a customer centric sales & marketing playbook and ensure that go to market plans are multi-dimensional with the ultimate goal of achieving customer success
- Portfolio and product performance KPI’s - Understand and measure the financial and non-financial performance measures of the products directly within the remit of the role.
- Competitive landscape - Develop and maintain a deep understanding of key direct and indirect competitors, their offerings and how we compare. Share information and talk tracks with sales and customer success to improve their ability to retain & acquire customers.

Knowledge/skills and Experience:

- Proven experience in understanding and solving customer problems through customer research tools
- Experience in Agile software development
- Organizational and leadership capabilities with excellent communication skills.
- Strong skills in analytical, logical, and lateral thinking.
- Results-driven with excellent follow-through.
- A data-driven mindset, where appropriate using data-based evidence when developing product strategies.
- Curiosity to listen to colleagues’ ideas and collaborate to promote continuous improvement.
- Passion to be at the forefront of technology, you are looking for new innovations and learnings.
- Experience working in an accounting practice highly desirable,
- Ability to present to internal and external stakeholders,
- Ability to work autonomously under pressure and knowing when to signal for help as required.
