A Day in the Life

An exciting Product Manager opportunity awaits you to join our inclusive and collaborative Diabetes team at Medtronic, recognized as a Great Place to Work in Australia.

At Medtronic, the Diabetes Operating Unit is dedicated to improving the lives of those within the global diabetes community. Medtronic Diabetes ANZ has been growing consistently, with a focus on rapidly bringing new innovations and technology to Australia to help people living with Type One Diabetes.

Located at Medtronic's Head Office in Macquarie Park, Sydney, and offering a hybrid working arrangement. You will receive comprehensive product training, gaining invaluable experience in promoting innovative products within the Diabetes sector. We are looking for an experienced product marketing individual who is empowered to steer your marketing career towards an exciting and fulfilling career with us

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Formulates and reviews corporate short and long-range plans, goals, and objectives for specific product or product line- Conducts competitive product analysis and market research of product consumer behaviour and professional audience- Develops production and marketing strategies and tactics to ensure effective product placement relative to market opportunity- Determines the profitability and viability of new products or product enhancements- Align advertising strategies with core brand equity- Develop and deliver effective sales tools, training, and marketing collateral in collaboration with the sales team- Provide strategic input and support for sales presentations and negotiations-
- Use data analytics to measure and optimise digital marketing efforts- Working closely with product development for a specific product, brand, or product area over its entire life cycle- Works with other functions to finalise product specifications- Serves as technical adviser, demonstrating products and troubleshooting product issues

Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred- Minimum 5+ years of experience in product management and marketing, within the medical device, healthcare or consumer goods industry- Proven track record of successful product launches and market penetration strategies- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills- Excellent communication and presentation abilities- Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities- Highly motivated and results oriented- Customer-centric mindset with a passion for improving patient outcome- Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment- Ability to build strong relationships with customers (both internal and external) at all levels- Willingness to travel as required to support marketing activities and customer engagements
