Job description: Cafe Manager

Job Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the cafe, including front-of-house and back-of-house activities.

Ensure high standards of food quality for all menu items, ensuring consistency

Deliver exceptional customer service with warm, welcoming atmosphere

Address customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally

Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, workplace health and safety laws, and local licensing requirements

Participate in planning menus and special dishes with chefs and owners

Oversee stock and inventory for both cafe and bakery products; order supplies and liaise with local and sustainable vendors

Track sales, labor, and food cost metrics; contribute to budgeting and financial goals

Plan and implement marketing efforts, including social media content ideas, local outreach, and in-store promotions

Maintain accurate records including budgets, sales reports, and employee performance

Recruit, train, roster schedule, and supervise staff, ensuring a positive and productive work environment

**Requirements**:
Proven experience as a cafe manager in a busy environment (minimum 2 years preferred)

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team

Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

A positive attitude and a passion for local community engagement

Excellent customer service and communication abilities

Familiarity with sourdough baking, artisan pastries, or Asian/Vietnamese cuisine is a strong advantage

Proficiency with managing inventory, scheduling, POS systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)

Knowledge of basic marketing initiatives especially social media communication (Fanpage, Tiktok, Instagram)

Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations and practices

Solid understanding of business and financial management

Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $76,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
