Procurement and Contracts Officer - 6-month fixed-term contract - South of the River

This Government organisation provides high-quality healthcare services to the Western Australian community and is seeking a procurement and contracts officer to join their team. Reporting to the Director of Procurement, this position is an initial 6-month fixed-term contract with the high likelihood of extension.

Your new role

In this role you will be responsible for managing a portfolio assigned of procurements and contracts. Day to day responsibilities include:

- Procurement planning and tender documentation
- Bid evaluation and contractual negotiations
- Provision of specialist advice to both internal and external stakeholders
- Assist with the preparation of business cases
- Manage assigned contracts
- Maintain and establish key stakeholder relationships
- Monitor contract KPIs and report on contractor performance

What you’ll need to succeed
- Prior experience in both procurement and contract management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Well-developed negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Problem solving and analytical skills

What you’ll get in return

In return you will be offered a 6-month fixed term contract with extension opportunities. Further details include:

- Salary range of $95,000 - $103,000 + superannuation
- Paid sick and annual leave
- South of the River location close to public transport
- 38-hour work week
