HammondCare provides care primarily through hospitals, residential care homes and home-based care as well as services for dementia support, community palliative care, rehabilitation, positive aging and older persons’ mental health.

**About the role**

This newly reimaged role is designed to drive a positive safety culture at HammondCare’s residential homes. Working with the Health Safety & Wellbeing team you will work collaboratively across our residential portfolio to ensure the implementation, ongoing operation and continuous improvement of HammondCare’s health, safety and wellbeing framework and management system. The role will also assist with the implementation and evaluation of HammondCare’s Health, Safety and Wellbeing strategic initiatives.

**_ This role is permanent part-time 19 hours per week with flexibility to work 3 days per week (or up to 5 days per week with shorter hours). We also have flexible working from home options including full remote._**

**Key Responsibilities include**
- Reviewing incidents and hazard data to ensure that risks are accurately identified and a thorough investigation is undertaken
- Supporting the implementation of risk minimisation strategies to ensure that they are effective
- Establishing the context, identification, analysis and evaluation of health and safety related risk, to identify trends and patterns
- Working with stakeholders and employees to facilitate communication, consultation and cooperation in all matters relating to health, safety and wellbeing in the workplace
- Supporting the development and review of policies, procedures, guides, communications and educational materials related to workplace health, safety and wellbeing
- Supporting the development and provision of education activities in workplace risk, health, safety and wellbeing
- In collaboration with other members of the People Team and Quality, Safety & Risk Team to ensure services maintain a focus on staff wellbeing in service delivery

**About You**
- Commitment to engage and align with HammondCare’s Christian Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action.
- Demonstrated experience in a Work Health Safety & Wellbeing role preferably within a health or aged care setting
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management and engagement
- Strong administrative and computer skills
- Strong influencing skills
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Empathy and patience
- Current NSW driver’s licence and willingness to travel between HammondCare’s sites and services (your kms will be reimbursed)
- Cert IV or higher qualification in work, health and safety desirable
