Head of Transport Services
The Head of Transport Services is a key leadership position with responsibility for the operational arm of the Department. Regularly engaging with the Ministers' offices and MTIA, the role will work closely with other transport agencies, major transport service providers and the public and private sectors to deliver the Government's strategic transport agenda, including supporting Victoria's Big Build and leading the development and delivery of the provision of transport projects, upgrades and services for the Victorian 2026 Commonwealth Games. The position is also responsible for the transport services contracts across the Victorian transport sector on behalf of the Government and oversees the delivery of all public transport upgrades, maintenance and other transport projects across the State, ensuring all legal and regulatory requirements are met while leading a transformation culture of safety across the provision of transport services.
Credentials
This role requires significant executive experience in, and a deep understanding of transport networks, infrastructure, operations, service and program delivery. You will bring outstanding people leadership capability, demonstrated in complex working environments. You will have a strong background in leading the planning and delivery of day-to-day operations and implementing strategic transport initiatives and programs in a complex regulatory environment. Your proven stakeholder engagement skills will be evidenced by your ability to provide sound advice at the highest levels in Government, and with internal and external stakeholders to partner on the delivery of the Government's transport agenda. Relevant tertiary and post-graduate qualifications are highly desirable.
