**6 Months (2 X 3 Month Rotations)**

Austin Health is the major provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across 3 campuses in the northeast of Melbourne and state-wide. Austin Health is world-renowned for its research and specialist work in cancer, liver transplantation, spinal cord injuries, neurology, endocrinology, mental health and rehabilitation.
The program is supported by the Clinical Nursing Education Department, which provides Austin Health with contemporary evidence-based clinical education programs that align with the organisational strategic plan.
The Victorian Spinal Cord Service (VSCS) provides continuing care from notification of injury, acute care and rehabilitation to community follow up and long-term review. The VSCS is a state-wide service and is one of six spinal specialist services in Australia.
The VSCS provides acute management and rehabilitation for people who sustain traumatic and some non-traumatic spinal cord injuries (SCI) from Victoria, Tasmania and the Riverina of NSW.
The service provides inpatient and outpatient services at the Austin Hospital and Royal Talbot Rehabilitation Centre in addition to a range of clinic and community-based services. It works in close partnership with specialist units within Austin Health and with community service providers. The TSP will be based at both Austin Hospital and Royal Talbot Rehabilitation Centre.
