Casey Hospital, Dandenong Hospital, and Monash Medical Centre Clayton Emergency Departments have exciting opportunities for Registered Nurses seeking to advance their career in the February **Transition to Specialty Practice (TSP) Program.**

**Our Journey**

Monash Health Emergency Departments (ED) treat over 200,000 emergency patients each year and provide a wide range of treatment specialties from adults to paediatrics.
- ** Casey Hospital **- Acute Emergency Department treating both Adult & Paediatric patients. Casey Hospital has undergone an extensive redevelopment enabling us to provide care for a fast-growing Emergency Department with onsite access to ICU, Medical, Surgical, Paediatric, Mental Health & Maternity
- ** Dandenong Hospital** - Acute Emergency department treating both Adult & Paediatric patients. Onsite access to ICU, Medical, Surgical, Trauma, Mental Health, Orthopaedics, Plastics, Paediatrics & Women’s Health ranging from start of life to end of life care. The department is also exemplary in commencing a Candidacy program for Nurse Practitioners for those that wish to grow their career in this area.
- ** Monash Medical Centre **- Tertiary level department with separate Adult & Paediatric clinical areas. Onsite access to Tertiary Level Higher Care for Paediatrics as well as Neurosurgery and a diverse range of specialist support services. MMC’s Emergency Department has undergone a redevelopment to include a dedicated Children’s Emergency as well as completing an expansion to the existing service to adults. This also included additional Short Stay Beds, and a dedicated Mental Health hub.

**About Emergency Services Transition to Specialty Practice Program**

Monash Health has a very exciting opportunity for registered nurses looking to advance their career and transition and develop their skills in a critical area. We offer an excellent Transition to Speciality Practice Program, providing support and professional development in the emergency setting. Our program is a blended platform of structured learning in collaboration with our critical care units, namely ICU to incorporate study sessions, tutorials and online learning. We provide clinical support and six paid study days across a 12 Month period. It aims to develop you into a safe and effective practitioner, who will be able to provide timely and exceptional patient centred care.

**TSP Positions available at Casey Hospital, Dandenong Hospital and Monash Medical Centre Clayton.**

You will be employed and orientated to a designated hospital however the study days are shared and facilitated by experienced educators (NaMES, Nursing and Midwifery Education and Strategy,) and other Monash Health experts. In addition, the program is recognised by Monash University and can be articulated to receive recognition of prior learning towards a Master of Nursing if you choose to utilise this extended learning the completion of an exam and an assignment is available. You are also able to undertake the structured program without the assignment and exam.

**Full or Part Time Ongoing positions available with flexibility to work across as 24/7 rotating roster, all days.**

**What You Need**:

- Registration to practice as a Registered Nurse with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA)
- Two professional referees (including a direct line manager)
