The role of the IT Systems Analyst is to work collaboratively with the IT Business Partners and IT Business Analysts to analyse, develop and document business systems requirements. This may include conducting fit/gap analysis with existing systems to ensure current systems are providing value, and/or supporting the selection of new products and services that can provide more effective and efficient technical solutions to support business process needs. The requirements life cycle approach will be based on the context of the work and may be selected from predictive (plan-driven) or adaptive (iterative/agile/UX) approaches.

**Role Responsibilities**:

- Work with developers and end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction.
- Analyse business processes and IT systems and identify areas for improvement.
- Assist in the creation of the systems design and functional specifications for all new development projects.

- Ensure appropriate standards and procedures are adhered to during the development process to support a quality deliverable.

**Key Skills**:

- 7+ years of IT / industry work experience.
- Ability to understand and capture business and technical requirements, analysing and developing effective technical solutions.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and changing business requirements.
- Ability to develop a broad awareness of the technical architecture with enough knowledge to determine what is and is not possible.
- Experience with understanding the context of use for systems, products and services and specifying user experience requirements and design goals.
- Ability to produce UX design concepts and prototypes for user interactions with and experiences of a product, system, or service.
- Broad experience in industry trends to ensure solutions will provide the business with forward, compatible, scalable and flexible solutions.
- Sound interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with management, the development team and IT users.
- Strong analytical skills and proven problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Delivery focus with the ability to develop partnerships with key stakeholders, business units and vendor partners.
