About the Role
We are looking for an experienced D365 Administrator support to join the Alspec Business Technology team. Based in our Western Sydney office, supporting 15 sites nationally across Australia, the ideal candidate is a technically proficient and solutions-focused professional with a strong background in Microsoft Dynamics 365 administration.
Key responsibilities
- Handling user setup, security role assignment, and configuration of privileges and access levels across business units.
- Applying a comprehensive understanding of security models, including field-level security, hierarchy security, and custom privilege creation.
- Troubleshooting and resolving user issues; conducting root cause analysis and ensuring solutions are documented and communicated.
- Assisting in gathering and refining business requirements and translating them into technical functionality within D365.
- Coordinating application testing and pre-deployment validation for updates and new features.
- Managing D365 environments (DEV/UAT/PROD), releases, and patch cycles.
- Facilitating and monitoring system integrations, including APIs and data flows between D365 and financial systems, reporting tools (e.g., Power BI), or external platforms.
- Tracking and managing service delivery using JIRA, Confluence, and Azure DevOps.
About You
Experience:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CE, F&O, or both).
- Practical knowledge of the D365 security model including role, task, duty, and privilege configuration.
- Experience managing and maintaining enterprise-scale, integrated D365 environments.
- Familiarity with integration architecture and Microsoft tools like Azure Logic Apps, Power Platform, or API services.
- Exposure to or understanding of financial systems and related business processes in a Supply Chain environment is a strong advantage.
- Holds a tertiary IT qualification and/or Microsoft certifications are a plus (e.g., D365 Functional Consultant, Security Admin).
In addition, you will have;
- Ability to work effectively, both independently and within a team environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated listening and problem-solving skills.
You may be required to undergo a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing and must have contactable work references.
