Government agency looking for Property Acquisitions Officer to assist with public sector properties.

**Your new company**

Our client is a government agency based in Brisbane that provides a number of products and services to assist in the building and maintenance of government owned assets such as schools, social housing, police stations and correctional and health facilities. Due to an increase in workload, they are looking to add a Property Acquisitions Officer to their team to assist with land acquisition on behalf of the department.

**Your new role**

You will be responsible for sourcing the acquisition of land and pre-existing dwellings for development opportunities. You will investigate potentially suitable properties against customer land briefs and requirements as well as undertake property due diligence. Additionally, you will source and interpret due diligence reports and information, as well as consult with external real estate agents to identify market opportunities. You will also coordinate land contract preparation and execution in conjunction with legal officers and negotiation with real estate agents on price and other terms for property.

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate a strong understand of land acquisition and property valuations. Therefore, you will ideally come from a background in property or real estate, with a relevant discipline in this field. You will ideally have strong knowledge in real estate terms and functions in order to consult with real estate agents, as well as be able to investigate properties against land briefing and requirements. Given this role includes regular reporting and valuations, experience with Microsoft Office programs is essential, with previous experience using Ellipse being beneficial.

**What you'll get in return**

You will be offered an immediate start in an initial 3 month contracted casual role within a government agency with the likelihood of extension. You will be offered a full-time temporary position paying an A05 rate + super.
