AV is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Designer responsible for ownership of the Data Warehouse interfaces and presentation designs, ensuring the accuracy of architecture and data design and resolving design level issues. The role will also support Data Warehouse governance, through the provision of effective and accurate documentation. As key member of the Digital Technology and Services Department (DTS), this is a full time, permanent position currently based in Blackburn North with hybrid working arrangements available.

About the role
Reporting to the Business Intelligence Team Leader, the responsibilities of this position will include, but are not limited to:

- Provide effective and efficient management of design for AV Data Warehouse, Analytics and Reporting
- Ensure compliance to AV's agreed change control and testing processes by interpreting and defining BI processes for modifications to data systems.
- Ensure Data Warehouse alignment is consistent with architectural standards for the introduction of all new BI services, liaising with Architects when necessary.
- Undertake design and document extract, transform and load (ETL) interfaces to and from AV Data Warehouse
- Actively manage and develop strong and effective working relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation, as well as vendors, in order to communicate changes and achieve the best outcome for the organisation.
- Guide and mentor AV users in effective design of modern cloud AV Data Warehouse data sets.

About you

**To be considered for this position you will possess**:

- Completion of a degree or relevant industry certification with proven subsequent relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training & relevant experience in an information technology related discipline.
- Demonstrated substantial experience in Data Warehouse / Business Intelligence.
- Previous experience with Oracle systems and relevant Oracle tools
- Demonstrated experience in the use of at least one BI tool and ETL tool.
- Experience in OACS, Azure Cloud Platform, Databricks will be beneficial.
- Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills to enable the identification of issues and the judgement to determine appropriate courses of action for achieving long-range organisational goals.
- Initiative to identify and ensure that appropriate courses of action are taken to achieve goals and proactively detect problems, issues, and areas for improvement.
- Required to be available outside of ordinary working hours to provide advice, support or authoritative direction to other employees or managers involved in dealing with emergency or time critical incidents or issues (CAA1)

This position is graded at AV/4 under the Ambulance Victoria (Management and Administrative Staff) Enterprise Agreement.
