**About our Engineering Team**

The Jetstar Engineering Team are at the forefront of delivering our superior safety standards. They are responsible for ensuring the airworthiness of our fleet of aircraft, including completing all required maintenance that must be carried out on time and to approved standards to ensure they take to the skies safely. At every stage, all maintenance needs to be documented, detailed records maintained, with aircraft parts ordered and available at all times.

As part of our investment in our future, we have launched the Melbourne Engineering Precinct, which is the main maintenance hub of our network. Our team has the opportunity to work not only on Jetstar fleet, but customer aircraft - A320/21, B717 and A321 Freighter.

**The Role**

We now have a wonderful opportunity to join our Maintenance Operations Team in the role of **Manager Maintenance Planning** following a recent internal promotion. Reporting to our Manager Maintenance Operations, you will deliver critical leadership in across the team that deliver tactical planning across several airlines. You will deliver oversight of procedures and systems to ensure the Planning team are managing and acquitting work in a compliant and efficient manner.

As Manager Maintenance Planning, your accountabilities will include:

- Oversight of Lead Line Planners who manage all supervisory and administrative functions related to the Line Maintenance Planning team members, including training, rostering and facilitating process improvement
- Oversight of Aircraft Optimisation & Allocation Coordinators (AOAC) who manage aircraft maintenance slots with the JOCC operations team, maximising maintenance opportunities whilst minimising Engineering induced disruption to the Jetstar operation
- Acting as the primary interface with customer airlines and third-party providers
- Promote a safety culture, including investigating and reviewing incidents and participating in OHS meeting, inspections and other appropriate activities
- Short-term planning oversight, including monitoring overdue and near due tasks and taking appropriate action to ensure aircraft safety and compliance at all times, in addition to reviewing deferrals requests and trends, managing the deferral database and providing periodic reports of fleet deferral performance
- Lead regular updates with the Jetstar Operations team to ensure they are across ongoing AOG’s or risks that might impact the operation, in addition to ensuring that the AOAC role is supporting both the Engineering and Jetstar operation to continually improve maintenance and operational outcomes.

**About You**

We are searching for a confident communicator, able to lead and manage change and problem solving effectively. You will be an experienced aircraft planner with experience in, and genuine passion for, leading teams.

You will bring:

- Tertiary qualification or Aircraft Trade Certificate in an aviation, engineering or management
- Demonstrated experience in tactical planning or management of a tactical or operational team
- Demonstrated leadership capability and passion for leading and developing others
- Knowledge of PART 145 / 42 regulatory framework
