About the role

Helping Australians know more, understand more and engage more in international affairs is what the Institute of International Affairs (AIIA Victoria) has achieved for nearly 100 years. A wonderful opportunity is now available for you to contribute to this important legacy.

Supported by volunteers, interns and a tight-knit permanent team, this new role will work closely with the Executive Director and Office manager to build on operational capabilities, stakeholder relationships and growth opportunities.

About the role:

- Work with the Executive Director to implement strategies, plans and procedures
- Manage the daily operational functions and coordinate efforts with the Office Manager and Interns as necessary
- Assist with any fundraising ventures and participate in corporate alliance activities.
- Host & support speaker events and oversee/develop the Young Professionals Network
- Support the design and maintenance of Stakeholder Engagement Database to support the plans and strategies.

About you:

- Bring a strong interest in international affairs
- Demonstrate good organizational, communication and relationship skills
- Bring a working history of setting priorities and implementing actions plans
- Have a comfort in working with multiple stakeholders (particularly in a for purpose voluntary context.)
