**About the Role**

The role of Maintenance and Information Officer sits in Bus Stop Maintenance Team within the Bus Services Branch which is responsible for managing metro and regional bus franchise operators and delivery and maintenance of Bus Stop infrastructure.
The purpose of this role is to coordinate and direct contractors to undertake the maintenance of infrastructure, signage and stop based customer information as well as capturing data for public transport throughout Victoria.

This role is required to coordinate with internal and external stakholders (such as DoT Customer Services Team, DoT Call Centre, Public Transport Ombudsman, Ministerial office, third party contractors, local councils and other VPS agencies) to respond to relevant queries/issues. This role also assists in investigations / audits and provide relevant data related to Bus Stop Assets, whenever required
The role of the Maintenance and Information Officer is to coordinate and direct contractors to undertake the maintenance of infrastructure, signage and stop based customer information as well as capturing data for public transport throughout Victoria.

**Position Outcomes**
- Ensured that DoT Infrastructure signage and customer information is maintained at stations, interchanges, bus stops and hubs; Coordinated with relevant teams to ensure that this information installation is caried out in a safe manner, meeting deadlines and in accordance with DoT branding and signage requirements; Kept relevant teams up to date on related progress and issues.
- Coordinated with relevant staff and contractors to assign tasks related to Infrastructure, signage and customer information maintenance works; Ensured that the tasks assigned and completed as per schedule and escalate issues, if required, in timely manner for resolution.
- Maintained Assets and Maintenance Database to update assets information and response to maintenance issues; Effectively used contractor’s asset management system for scheduling, tracking and auditing of the works assigned to contractors.
- Ensured issues within their area of responsibility are resolved in accordance with DoT's policies and procedures, risk assessment documents, Road management Act etc.
- Provided valuable advice to internal and external stakeholders under limited direction. Any complex matters identified have been escalated to supervisor/s for advice and direction; responded to queries; Effectively provided a professional first point of contact for clients and key stakeholders by resolving and escalating/redirecting enquiries or service requests; Assisting internal teams in providing relevant data to help them in investigations/audits, when required.
- Promote and support safe, inclusive and flexible team operations.

**Qualifications and Experience.**

**Desirable**
- Qualification (or working towards) in Business Administration, Project Management or similar.
- Experience in maintaining public transport infrastructure, signage, and customer information.
- Experience providing administrative support services
