The Role
We are currently looking for an efficient Payroll Officer to deliver end-to-end payroll processing for approximately 350 staff. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, this is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic finance professional to be one of two payroll staff working within the broader finance team.
**You will be responsible for**:
- Full end to end fortnightly payroll, End of Month and End of Financial year processing using Chris21
- Ensuring all timesheets, payroll adjustments, and other records are processed prior to close of payroll run.
- Setting up new starters and contract changes in the Chris21
- Calculating and processing termination payments
- Handle all pay and leave queries from staff and managers
- Participating in yearly payroll and accounts functions
- Provide general accounts support to broader finance team
Supporting your development
Once you have mastered the core responsibilities of the Payroll function you will have the opportunity to diversify and broaden your experience by taking other responsibilities within the Finance team.
**To be successful in this role, you will have**:
- Demonstrated Payroll experience (1-2 years Chris21 experience)
- Intermediate skills using the MS Office suit of programs, including intermediate Excel skills
- A strong willingness to learn and take on ad-hoc tasks to support the team
- Excellent communication skills
- Productive work ethic, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner
- Outstanding attention to detail, organisation and time-management abilities.
