Our client is a Brisbane based, well-established supplier of ingredients to the food manufacturing industry. Currently, they are looking for a seasoned Food Safety and QA expert to join their technical team.

Role:
Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will lead a small QA team, ensuring compliance with food safety legislation and maintaining current certifications, including HACCP, ISO9001, Halal, Kosher, and the council food safety star program. Your responsibilities will encompass conducting induction training, as well as providing food safety, hygiene, and GMP training. You will work in a lab, performing QC testing, complete internal audits, and manage external audits. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining ingredients and packaging registers, ensuring labeling complies with legislative requirements, and overseeing the upkeep of their well-established quality system.

You might have tertiary qualifications, however what counts the most is your solid QA leadership experience in a food manufacturing facility, in-depth knowledge of HACCP and GMP, and expereince in staff training. This can be as a QA Supervisor or QA Coordinator. You will also have great attention to detail and very good communication skills.
