**Our Team**:
The Thales Australia AWS business offers ship repair, maintenance and asset management / in-service support capabilities for commercial and naval ships in Australia. The business also offers the provision of docking, reticulated services and facility maintenance within Garden Island.
**The role**:
Opportunity for a **Continuous Improvement Lead** to join our team and play a critical role in driving the delivery of key business improvement initiatives within the Above Water Systems (AWS) Business. Based in Woolloomooloo, you'll lead projects that prioritise safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness to achieve customer and business objectives.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lead and support AWS improvement initiatives, ensuring objectives related to cost, time, safety, and quality are met.
- Train and support business leads in utilising improvement tools and techniques.
- Manage the AWS Business Improvement Portal and ensure compliance with AWS standards.
- Facilitate process mapping and deliver improvement-related training sessions.
- Drive the development and execution of the AWS Business Improvement Strategy aligned with Thales guidelines.
- Benchmark and implement performance improvement opportunities across the organisation.
- Engage stakeholders and manage communications effectively.
**About You**:
- Degree in business, engineering, project management, or equivalent experience Proven leadership skills and the ability to influence stakeholders in a matrix organisation.
- Lean Six certification or similar is desirable but not essential.
- Knowledge of BPMN process mapping and statistical process analyses (SPC).
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
