**What you’ll be doing**:
The Reporting Analyst role is to contribute to Virgin Australia’s strategic direction, profitability and performance improvement by identifying areas of collaboration, enhancing insights and improving the ability of reporting across numerous areas of the Operations business. The Analyst will look at enhancing communication and understanding of information, simplifying processes and eliminating non-value add activities. As well as encouraging technology, they propose changes to the way our business operates so that we can become more efficient and better at what we do. Responsible for supporting such a broad area of the business will require a high level of organization, and ability to prioritise work while maintaining relationships.

**_ This role is a 12 month maximum term contract._**

**You’ll be great in this role if you**:

- Come with 2 - 5 years experience in a similar analytical role with experience in formulating solutions to complex problems
- Can develop effective and influential relationships
- Have tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Mathematics or Engineering
- Are organised with the ability to multi-task & prioritise
- Have exceptional attention to detail
- Are comfortable conversing, preparing and presenting information to Senior Management
- Can influence people and make decisions
- Have a good understanding of financial and strategic principles and concepts
- Come with the ability to distinguish between facts, findings and conclusions, and to routinely interpret data and provide insights which improve business performance
- Can conceptualise ideas, and have demonstrated creative / innovative thinking
- Are a natural working within a high pressure and frequently changing environment
- Have advanced Excel and PowerPoint
- Understand business process modelling
- Have an awareness of Business Intelligence reporting tools
- Are familiar with Microsoft Power BI, SQL, R, Python
- Have a broad understanding of airline operations and business functions (desirable)
