**Description**:
**About Us**
At Vidico, we produce stunning creative content for global brands like TikTok, Square, Spotify, and Deloitte. Our videos and campaigns have set benchmarks in the industry, garnering over 1.3 billion views globally. Due to growth, we are looking for a full-time Design Lead to join our tight knit team on an initial 3 to 6 month contract.
**The Opportunity**
At Vidico, we’re committed to delivering high-quality, brand-aligned design assets that elevate every client project.
As our Design Lead, you’ll combine hands-on design expertise with team leadership and client-facing coordination to ensure all work reflects our commitment to visual storytelling excellence. You’ll collaborate closely with our internal production teams—animation, live action, and post-production, while managing workflows across internal designers and freelancers. In this role, you’ll shape both the creative process and the visual identity of our projects.
**What will I work on?**:
**Design & Creative Production**
- Create a wide range of design assets, including visual identities, static graphics, UI elements, and video overlays.
- Conduct creative reviews to ensure all outputs meet Vidico’s high standards for visual quality and storytelling.
**Team Leadership & Resource Management**
- Allocate design tasks across internal team members and freelance partners based on skills, availability, and project needs.
- Plan and forecast project capacity to ensure deadlines and quality expectations are met.
- Lead weekly team meetings and 1:1s, and contribute to broader management strategy sessions.
- Oversee performance, feedback, hiring, onboarding, and long-term growth initiatives.
- Support freelance onboarding and maintain strong working relationships with external designers.
**Client Communication & Project Briefing**
- Translate client briefs into actionable creative tasks.
- Manage the scoping, briefing, and delivery of design assets across multiple projects.
- Lead end-to-end client communications, from project kick-offs to feedback sessions and scope discussions, ensuring clarity, professionalism, and a seamless client experience.
**What will I bring?**:
- 7+ years’ experience in creative services, project management, or design production within a creative agency, studio, or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of visual design principles across digital, motion, and print formats.
- Proven experience managing creative pipelines including briefing, QA, and delivery.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; confident working with both internal teams and clients.
- Familiarity with tools such as Notion, Figma, and Adobe CC (highly regarded).
- Experience managing freelancers, vendors, or distributed creative teams is a plus.
- A hands-on designer with a keen eye for detail, capable of producing visually compelling, brand-aligned work.
- Organised and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple moving parts with confidence.
- A natural leader and collaborator with strong interpersonal skills.
- Solution-focused and adaptable, comfortable pivoting as project priorities shift.
- Passionate about design, storytelling, and building scalable creative systems.
**Next Steps**
These will be completed online (via Google Meets).

**About Vidico**:
We’re one of the only companies that’s produced award-winning work for both live-action and animation/motion graphics. Very rarely do these two specialisations come under the same roof, but luckily, our team at Vidico is crammed with A-players.From the back of head-seats on international flights to LA, or the massive stadium screens at the MCG, there’s a fair chance you’ve seen multiple Vidico videos in the last twelve months — we’re not your typical visual media outfit.Put simply, there’s a reason that companies like Amazon Web Services, Uber, Square, Koala, Vervoe and Spotify choose Vidico for their visual media production.
