Join us as Purchasing Officer for Electrification Business, Distribution Solutions Area where you will be responsible for purchasing materials according to required technical specification, price, delivery schedule and terms. Ensuring purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures. Reporting to Procurement and Logistics Manager this position will be based in Moorebank, Australia.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Identifying new suppliers in cooperation with relevant category team. Qualifying new suppliers in cooperation with supplier quality and negotiations
- Initiating purchase orders (PO) in the system, according to the purchase requisitions and in alignment with standard procedures, and confirms delivery with suppliers, monitors and tracks supplier performance to purchase order requirements
- Supporting bid and proposal teams by providing relevant market information. Supporting other product groups in ensuring supplier PO entered and tracked for OTD
- Aligning supplier orders with customer requirements (based on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)/project requirements) in terms of content, quality, delivery, sustainability and price
- Conducting all procurement activities for all goods and services in accordance with policies and procedures

**Your background**:

- Superior knowledge of SAP/MRP/ (minimum 5yrs)
- A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines
- A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
