**The Opportunity**

Come and discover the opportunity to join our Orrcon Steel business in Salisbury as an Analytics Officer. Orrcon Steel is a manufacturer of steel tube and pipe, and leading Australian steel distributor with nationally recognised brands.

As a valued member of our Demand and Analytics team, you will develop and maintain analytics that supports Orrcon business functions and strategic objectives. As this is an evolving function in the business, you will have the benefit of making this your own and creating a fantastic benchmark for the team and Orrcon

**What Will You Do?**

Playing a key part in the decision making process, your passion for data and business will add value by:

- assisting in data and reporting integrity within Orrcon to support achieving business plan targets which requires an innovative, agile, solutions focussed approach to investigating data and system anomalies.
- assisting with identifying short, medium and long term trends and effectively reporting and communicating against these findings

You will be focused on delivering identified improvement opportunities and insights that will result in the best customer outcomes. Your analytics background could come from any industry, you’ll add value from day one by bringing:

- relevant data analytics experience in a similar environment
- exceptional analytical and report writing skills
- proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office tools especially in Excel, and report creation capability in data visualisation tools such as Power BI
- an ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to manage competing priorities
- effective communication skills with the ability to interact with cross-functional teams
- an inquisitive nature to learn our business and customers
