About the role

Reporting to the Brand Strategy & Marketing Manager, the Social & Community Team Leader is a dynamic, hands-on role responsible for leading SABO's community engagement, social media and influencer strategy, ensuring our brand shows up meaningfully across all platforms and community touchpoints. With a balance of strategic vision and daily execution, you will guide content production, manage influencer partnerships, and ensure our community engagement remains strong, responsive, and aligned with brand values.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to shape the way SABO connects with its community across digital platforms, building authentic relationships, amplifying brand voice, and driving meaningful engagement at scale.

This role is ideal for someone who lives and breathes digital culture, who understands the nuances of TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and emerging platforms, and can translate community trends into genuine brand opportunities. You will work cross-functionally with peers in Brand Curation (creative), Digital Media Performance and Retail to ensure all messaging is cohesive, on-brand, and impactful.

As the Social & Community Team Leader, you will mentor content production to maintain consistency and originality across all content streams. From overseeing ideation, execution, and scheduling to influencer seeding and partnership management, you will be responsible for growing engagement, community sentiment, and brand reach.

As the team's anchor, you will foster collaboration, lead with clarity, and ensure all content production meets the needs of both marketing and community growth goals whilst at the same time offering a culture of ongoing development and support to your Team.

To thrive in this role, you will need strong organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a collaborative spirit, working hand-in-hand with other teams to maintain brand consistency and support SABO's ongoing growth and success.

We understand life's balancing act, so we offer flexibility to help keep life in check, however, this is an onsite role based at our Grecian resort style office in Salisbury, Brisbane. You will be working in beautiful, luxurious spaces, with access to the SABO office kitchen, rooftop alfresco, gym and a fully stocked pantry and fridge, because great work deserves great energy and vibes

What you will be doing

  • Lead the planning and management of content calendars across channels, aligning with brand and marketing priorities.
  • Mentor and oversee content production across the team to maintain cohesion, creativity, and originality.
  • Guide influencer strategy, outreach, and seeding, including relationship management and bookings.
  • Ensure all influencer partnerships meet legal, compliance, and disclosure requirements.
  • Oversee and track budgets for social campaigns, influencer partnerships, and content production to ensure spend aligns with the overarching Marketing budget.
  • Manage community engagement, ensuring timely, on-brand responses and community-building initiatives.
  • Collaborate with key internal teams on campaign timing, content strategy, and execution.
  • Lead team briefings and drive ideation for content, ensuring messaging supports wider brand and business goals.
  • Manage social media strategy across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and emerging platforms.
  • Review performance analytics and provide actionable recommendations to optimise content production and engagement.
  • Oversee content operations to reduce duplication and streamline repurposing.
  • Support media and influencer relations as needed, ensuring consistent representation of the brand.
  • Deliver reporting and insights in collaboration with Digital Media Performance and Brand Curations teams.
  • Guide the team in adapting content to audience needs, platform behaviours, and brand storytelling evolution.
  • Support in the production of any internal and external communications as needed.

  • Confident people leader with a collaborative and growth mindset, able to mentor a team, give thoughtful feedback, and foster a culture of creativity and accountability.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to align cross-functional teams and translate brand strategy into engaging content production and campaigns.
  • Organised and proactive, with experience managing content calendars, juggling multiple timelines, and ensuring smooth delivery across platforms.
  • Passionate about fashion, digital culture, and authentic brand storytelling, with a deep understanding of community engagement and social trends.

Essential Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field - or, if you have 5 or more years' experience, we also encourage you to apply.
  • Proven experience in social media, community building, and influencer strategy roles within the fashion or lifestyle industry.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing content production, community building, and influencer strategy.
  • Experience and deep understanding of e-commerce fashion.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with global fashion brands.
  • Knowledge of marketing and paid media.
  • Familiarity with brand curation, stylist, photography and video production processes.

Availability

  • You have a right to work 38 hours per week in Australia with no sponsorship requirements.
  • We are looking for someone who can perform the bulk of the full time hours between 7.00 am and 5.00 pm Monday to Friday in the office.
