**Your new company**

This well-known Federal Government Department is seeking an APS6 Policy Officer to join one of their teams responsible for identifying, negotiating and implementing new state service delivery arrangements, and planning for improvements and expansion of state service offerings and future governance arrangements. This position has become available due to an influx to the workload.

**Your new role**

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

- Develop briefings and talking points to support Ministers and Executive.
- Prepare ministerial correspondence.
- Support intergovernmental official’s negotiations.
- Secretariat support.
- Milestone tracking and budget reporting.

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be successful in the position, you will have previous experience in a similar position and the Federal Government. You will also have demonstrated strategic thinking and policy development, experience in supporting high-level intergovernmental official’s negotiations at the policy and program level, have critical thinking and analytical skills, have strong written and verbal communication skills, have strong organisational and time management skills, the ability to quickly grasp concepts and the ability to build relationships and partnerships with a broad range of stakeholders.

To be considered for this role, you will need to be an Australian citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance at the Baseline level or higher.
