
Territory Development Representative

We are looking for a sales professional who will be responsible for achieving a revenue & GP target through strong collaboration and relationship building over the phone and having face to face meetings. The ultimate aim will be to build long term partnerships which enable our business partners to meet their growth objectives.
**The role**
- Pro-actively engage with existing and net new partners and resellers in the Brisbane, Gold Coast and wider Queensland region to drive business through cold/warm calling and finding new partners through the vendor network.
- You will drive event registration, engage with partners on loyalty programs and be able to discuss finance offerings to drive sales.
- Engage deep into the account, develop strong working relationships at every level of the targeted organisation and have strong and regular contact with the reseller's inside sales and operations teams.
- Collaborate with field sales representative for territory quota achievement for the large accounts.
- Maintaining up-to-date and complete information in the CRM is a must.
- Be the central point of management for reseller requirements and be able to escalate any issues/problems to your manager as needed.
- Manage and lead the deals you own and close opportunities through accurate forecasting, account strategy, and planning.
- Generate sales leads and increase pipeline through demand generation and targeted campaigns.
**Our Expectations**:
- You must either have or will gain within the required timeline, certifications related to all the major technologies you are selling or representing.
- You will need to learn and maintain an in-depth knowledge of Tech Data vendors, technologies, competitors and industry trends.
- You need to be super responsive and enthusiastic in calling and speaking to partners and meet the KPI's on calls and meetings per week. Tech Data believes that being proactive and having regular conversations with partners, resellers and customers is the only way to promote our name in the market and to drive sales.
- Whilst IT sales and IT distribution experience is a good to have, it is not essential. What is essential is a hunger for sales, being a focused relationship builder with a background in sales and having a strong desire to learn about new (IT) products and technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to seek and secure new business in a sales environment.
- Problem solving, dispute resolution, an ability to work both autonomously, and in a collaborative team environment.
- You'll also need outstanding communication skills, organisation and time management skills.
