North Coast Local Land Services (LLS) is creating a talent pool for ongoing and temporary roles that may become available over the next eighteen months. The Land Services Officer role offers an opportunity to advance your career in Natural Resource Management, Plant Biosecurity, Sustainable Agriculture, Invasive Pest Management, and related fields.   • LLS Grade 5 salary ranges from $99,938 to $110,271 per annum, plus superannuation and leave loading.
  • Flexible and hybrid working arrangements are available.

About the Role

Land Services Officers deliver frontline services to farmers, community groups, and the wider community to promote healthy, sustainable, and productive landscapes. Responsibilities include providing natural resource management advice, supporting agricultural sustainability and productivity, delivering invasive pest management, assisting with native vegetation management, and supporting emergency response and recovery efforts.

In this role, you will collaborate with stakeholders such as farmers, community groups, and government agencies to develop partnerships, manage projects, conduct fieldwork, and monitor and report outcomes.

About You

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, motivated, and eager to learn. You should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with rural landholders, industry groups, and key stakeholders. Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to work across various functional areas—including agriculture, environment, biosecurity, and emergency management—are essential.

You should have a strong understanding of agriculture in the North Coast region, including its challenges, and possess good knowledge of natural resource management and biosecurity. Proven experience in delivering effective programs to primary producers and diverse stakeholders is highly desirable.
