With operations across Australia, Papua New Guinea, Timor-Leste and North America, Santos has been supplying reliable and affordable energy for over 65 years. **To be considered, applicants must**: - Have experience in a similar role (Oil & Gas or Regulated Industry) - Be currently residing in Adelaide, SA - Have the legal right to live and work in Australia **About the Assignment** The "Contractor" Security Advisor is responsible for leading, developing and establishing organizational security with emphasis on assuring Security of Critical Infrastructure ( Dept. of Home Affairs Acts ), Maritime Security Plans (Regulated by Dept of Home Affairs' ), site Security Management Plans, critical and VIP events, Security risk management across Santos' operational portfolio, and the protection of Santos people and Assets across all operational security risk profiles. **Assignment Requirements** - Mitigate or minimise risk to the business through proactive implementation of the Security Management principles. - Implement and deliver on cost reduction efficiencies and value creation strategies where relevant - Effective and timely engagement and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders - Upholds and ensures compliance with all company standards and processes - Ensures compliance with and adherence to standards for EHS performance and behaviour consistent with Company’s environmental, and health & safety vision and policies and standards - Actively seeks opportunities for continuous improvement and driving efficiencies - Security Management - In collaboration with the Senior Advisor Crisis, Emergency Response and Security (Maritime Security Plan governance) support the delivery of security drills and exercises in accordance with Maritime Security Plans - Support the Port Facility and Offshore Facility Security Officers achieve their accountabilities as defined by facility MSPs, Maritime Security Act & Regulations. - Develop Security Management Plans (SMPs) for all of Santos’ material operational and business critical assets, supporting the implementation of the SMPs, including security guarding performance, access control standards and protocols and work with site/facility managers to mitigate emergent security risks. - Manage security activities via an annual integrated Security Assurance Plan, providing visible, company-wide data and metrics for security risk management, audit, compliance and performance reporting. - Provide security SME support for VIP, special or high-risk company events. - Liaise with state and national policing agencies facilitating a network of collaboration and sharing specific to Santos’ security risks. - Monitor Issues Motivated Groups (IMGs) responding to and mitigating impacts on Santos’ people and business operations. - Engage with the Barossa project and international activities to provide Security risk management support. - Seek opportunities to innovate and optimise security risk management across Santos’ operations, working with the Crisis, Emergency Response and Security Manager to develop strategies for company growth and best use of resources. - Support Santos’ obligations as it pertains to security management of State and National Critical Infrastructure protection. - As the security SME support the Santos response undertaken by Incident Management and Crisis Management Teams. **Additional Information** - Lead/participate in security related incident investigation and/or lookbacks - Compliance with the Santos Management System (SMS) - Compliance with the Santos Corporate Governance and Safety requirements - Be an integral HS&S team participant, providing support to the broader EH&S function as directed. **About You** - Qualifications in security risk management at University, Risk Management Australia Advanced Diploma levels, or tertiary qualifications in a similar/related field are preferable - Significant demonstrated experience in Oil and Gas or regulated industry is **essential.**: - This assignment is initially offered for** 6 months,** engaged via Chandler Macleod. - Location for this assignment is Adelaide working full-time office hours with some requirement for site travel. **How to Apply** **_ To be considered for this assignment you must have current work rights in Australia (i.e., Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or eligible working visa)._** ***_We comply with all relevant State, Territory and International Covid-19 laws and health orders, including but not limited to vaccinations, safe travel, and declarations of health.
