Building Sustainability Contractor
**Your new company**
Situated in the North-Shore Suburbs, this local government council is seeking a Building Sustainability Contractor to join their team for a 6-month contract.
**Your new role**
In this role you will deliver key actions and projects from Council’s energy management and sustainable buildings' strategy, to ensure continuous improvement in asset performance, and delivery of Council’s sustainability and Net Zero corporate objectives.
Responsibilities will include continuous improvement of operational energy efficiency and asset sustainability performance, project scoping and specification of capital works targeting sustainability, provision of technical advice, resources, and guidelines for staff on sustainable assets best practice.
**What you'll need to succeed**
**_ Essential Skills & Experiences_**
- Qualifications in a relevant discipline or substantial work experience in a similar capacity, such as environmentally sustainable design, engineering, facilities management, energy management.
- Experience using energy management and building management and control systems to optimise performance of key building services and overall building performance.
- Demonstrate the ability to work with consultants on developing the functional requirements for energy efficiency and sustainability, in regard to building management and control systems, HVAC, lighting, building envelope, hydraulic services, solar PV, and energy monitoring systems.
- Excellent project management skills including scoping, scheduling, risk and financial management.
- High level communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills

Highly desirable Skills & Experiences:_**
- A background or qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Working knowledge of sustainable building tools such as Green Star, NABERS, Living Building etc.
