The Queensland state office is housed right here in Brisbane with a further 12 sites both locally and regionally in areas such as Southport, Cannon Hill, Mt Isa, Cairns and Gladstone to name a few.

**The Opportunity**

The role of the State Manager has significant responsibility for providing strategic leadership and direction by overseeing commercial and operational efficiencies, service excellence, growth and financial performance for designated states.

The State Manager QLD plays a key role in managing and building long term strategic business partnerships that contribute to the overall success of the business. This role will provide guidance and mentoring to the commercial, clinical and project team members that deliver our wide range of corporate medical services. The role will assist the General Manager - Operations to develop strategy, continuous improvement and profitability.

**The role**

In this role you will have 14 direct reports with 2 of those on site in Ann Street and the remaining 12 on site in clinics which you will travel between on a regular basis.

Your role encompasses responsibilities and tasks such as:

- Clinical governance & compliance
- Leadership functions such as building strong teams through coaching, mentoring and empowerment of staff
- New and existing client relationship building, client presentations and new business evaluations
- Daily service delivery and adherence to KPI’s
- Budgeting, Financial Management and reporting as and analysis

**About you**

You will possess the following personal skills and business experience;
- A minimum of five years’ experience in a managerial position, including experience leading a team to achieve set targets and direct management of staff across geographically dispersed locations.
- Strong ability to engage, motivate, empower, and coach staff to achieve desired business outcomes. Well-developed communication and problem-solving skills.
- Astute commercial acumen with sound financial analysis skills.
- Current “C” class driver’s licence.
- Experience developing and nurturing business relationships.
- Ability to travel to visit clinics and attend meetings nationwide.
- Experience working within a quality framework and understanding of auditing, ISO and/or NSQHS.
- The ability to obtain a National Police Check Clearance as well as a Department of Defence Baseline Security Clearance.

While demonstrated experience in health, aged care or acute industry settings, as well as clinical and medical services knowledge would be advantageous it is the management style of this person that is of most interest to my client.

The intelligence and understanding for medical/clinical business systems and processes can be taught on the job.
