Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a Assistant Director Quality and Safety on a contract for 12 months with potential extension.
**Position Overview**
**DUTIES**
Typical duties of the AD, Quality and Safety will include:
- Development of a Quality and Safety Framework, including performance indicators for use across the MHWSD.
- Management of Divisional wide consultation of the Framework and Program, including stakeholder engagement and management.
- Project management including budget and timeline management and reporting against the implementation of the program.
- Utilise systems thinking to synthesise, interpret and report on aggregate level quality and safety related data, including the ability to make service quality improvement recommendations.
- Facilitation of workshops using Restorative Just Culture and Design Thinking methodologies
- Drafting of workshop summaries and outcomes.
- Responding to client feedback by working with business areas to implement quality improvement activities and respond appropriately.
- Uphold a no blame culture of safety.
- Provision of nationally consistent advice on quality and safety matters to business areas.
- Coordinate and contribute to the development of advice, briefings, papers, submissions and correspondence for use in both internal and external decision-making forums related to the Program.
- Provide supervision, mentoring and coaching for direct reports to effectively manage performance and encourage professional growth.
- Support an environment that encourages a willingness to adopt participative work place practices in line with policies of WHS, Workplace Diversity and the Australian Public Service values, Employment Principles and the APS Code of Conduct.
- Other duties as determined by the Director.
