**Job Details**:
**Hendry’s Hazardous Materials & Asbestos Advisory team are expanding and we’re searching for an experienced HSE Consultant to join our Queensland-based team.**:
To be successful in this role you will have an established track record in asbestos and hygiene services and are looking for your next challenge. You’ll also be an enthusiastic team player, able to manage client relationships and interested in business development.

The role will provide opportunities to work in varied projects and sectors, with national portfolio clients, establishing you as a valued member of our national team. So, it would be advantageous to be eager to work on broad range projects across the country.

**What you’ll be responsible for**:
Hazmat & Hygiene Services
- Undertake a full range of destructive and non-destructive asbestos and hazardous materials audits inclusive of sampling.
- Conduct a full range of compliance air monitoring for friable and non-friable asbestos works and visual clearance inspections during asbestos/hazmat remediation projects.
- Provide project management services where required.
- Provide accurate reports in standard formats.
- Work within small project teams of consultants and service a range of local and national clients in both the public and private sector.
- Willing to receive training in other Hendry service lines (ESM, PRA, EP etc) and assist with workloads where required

Administration & Business Development
- Maintain and build existing client relationships to expand business opportunities and services via proactive consultancy.
- Actively promote all Hendry services and seek out opportunities to expand network and client base.
- Provide professional general administrative duties and data entry.
- Maintain and administer project control documentation and delivery of all inspection reporting.
- Provide ongoing input through collaboration with stakeholders to ensure constant improvement of workflows and cost-effective procedures are in line with best practice solutions.
- Report project deliverables to the National Hazmat Manager, to ensure KPI’s are achieved.
- Undertake and maintain a high level of Quality Assurance for all deliverables.
- Assist with tender generation and fee proposals.
- Maintain and keep up to date any company induction/subscription processes.
- Undertake internal training for staff on all relevant systems.
- Undertake liaison with clients to coordinate services when required.
- Undertake liaison with client to provide recommendations and advice when required.
- Actively engage in bringing innovation into the business.

**What we’re looking for**:

- Current Asbestos Assessor Licence and White Card.
- 3+ years related asbestos/hazmat experience.
- Experience in a Building/Facilities Management environment.
- Good working knowledge of the QLD Work Health and Safety Act 2011, Work Health and Safety Regulation 2011 and relevant Australian Standards.
- Good working knowledge of relevant AUS State Acts and Regulations outside of Queensland is desirable.
- Ability to develop good relationships with clients and client representatives at all levels.
- Attention to detail with good written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite and database systems.
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team.
