**About the Role**
- DTP Standards Change Proposals (Rail and Road);
- DTP Standards Development Reports (Rail and Road);
- Rail Transport Operator (RTO) Standard Change Proposals;
- RTO and Project Delivery Standards and Specifications; and
- Rail Waiver Requests.
- Enter, maintain and organise data within Excel trackers;
- Ensure documentation is filed into DTPs Document Management System;
- Coordinate assessment and responses between DTP Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Stakeholders;
- Assist in the coordination of information packs for engineering standards and project decision-making groups;
- Assist in maintaining the Standards Management Inbox.
- Assist in preparing the DTP Standards Newsletter, coordinating with relevant SMEs and seeking Manager approval.
- assist in the development of Road or Rail Engineering Standards, or
- support in providing technical advice on Standards Management related matters

**Position Outcomes**

The successful applicant will provide advice on systems and processes in line with information and records management policies and standard practice.

They will also define tasks to be delivered, ensure progress against plans, analyse ideas, constructively deal with stakeholder issues and identify opportunities for continuous improvement and will interpret relevant legislative obligations and statutory requirements under supervision. - **Waiver reviews coordinated** - Artefacts coming to Standards and Transport Engineering for technical review are reviewed within timescales by all related specialists, with comments collated and summarised for the requestor & branch leadership. Records and metrics are kept for audits and process improvement.
- **Meeting records are kept** - Assisting in the maintenance and organisation of the Standards Governance Group (SGG) and Project Adoption Assessment Committee (PAAC) registers; Assisting in filing information and communication related to SCPs, RTO Standards and Specifications and Waiver Reviews into Content Manager
- **Standards Management** - Effectively coordinating the development and publication of Engineering Standards in accordance with the Standards Management Framework.
- **Project Delivery** - Completing relevant improvement initiatives and tasks within required timeframes, to a high standard. Providing sound theoretical and practical knowledge to resolve complex matters.
- **Stakeholder Management** - Maintaining effective working relationships with key stakeholders. Applied negotiation and persuasion skills to manage relationships with peers and stakeholders.

**Qualifications and Experience**

**Mandatory**
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Proficient in written and verbal communication.

**Desirable**
- A relevant tertiary qualification in an area such Civil Engineering, Transport Planning, or equivalent or working towards a qualification.
- Experience working technical area or assisting with technical related projects
