**About the Role**:
We currently have an exciting 18-month maximum term role available in our highly engaged, collaborative and capable Technical Standards Engineering team.
As a Technical Standards Officer in this pivotal role, you’ll be at the forefront of aligning engineering standards between CitiPower/Powercor (CP/PAL) and the UE network, ensuring seamless integration and long-term success. Your expertise will be the driving force behind harmonising processes, enhancing compatibility, and increasing productivity.

**In this role you will**:
- Manage the harmonisation of Standards and Specifications between CP/PAL and UE.
- Align and update CP/PAL Technical Standards with UE standards.
- Update and test the SAP material estimating system to accommodate UE-specific requirements.
- Draft diagrams and drawings as required for use in standards.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to review and finalise harmonised technical standards.
- Review and update UE service delivery processes to support harmonised standards.
- Assist in rolling out the harmonised standards, including conducting training sessions, demonstrations, and presentations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth adoption and long-term success.
- Provide user support and troubleshoot issues during the transition phase.
**What You’ll Bring to United Energy**:
- As a minimum, Certificate IV in Electrical Technology, Associate Diploma in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent tertiary qualification. High qualifications (i.e. Bachelors degrees) will also be considered.
- Familiarity with CP/PAL and UE standards and in-depth knowledge of applicable standards in the electricity industry.
- Expertise in overhead and underground distribution design, substations, and sub-transmission systems.
- Proficiency in GIS, AutoCAD (or equivalent), and SAP material estimating systems.
- Strong communication skills and a solid understanding of safety in design practices.
- Knowledge of construction methods and techniques.
- Solid working experience in electrical distribution or sub-transmission design.
- Practical experience with CP/PAL and UE standards and SAP material estimating systems.
- Hands-on experience in AutoCAD, design processes, and stakeholder engagement.
