About the role
Reporting to the Data Analytics & Insights Lead, the Data Visualisation Specialist is responsible for turning complex data into compelling stories to generate data-driven insights that will influence decision-making, enhance operational efficiency, and improve customer experience.
**Main responsibilities include**:
Working across the full BI lifecycle with an emphasis on report design, requirements gathering, data modelling, report and dashboard design and deployment.
Collaborating with stakeholders to understand and translate reporting needs into actionable data visualisation and reporting solutions.
Supporting end-to-end testing and end user training.
Conducting post-implementation dashboard reviews.
Acting as a thought leader in the development of BI solutions and ensuring team members follow best practices in data development and visualisation.
About you
**To be successful in this role you will bring**:
Expert levels skills in creating advanced Power BI dashboards and complex reports with a strong command of DAX queries, functions, and Power Query.
Exceptional business engagement and presentation skills and the ability to act as a business liaison for workshops, showcases and requirements gathering.
Expertise in designing data models and schemas in a SQL environment.
Ability to understand business processes and problems and design and build data and analytics solutions to solve the problem.
Tertiary qualification in Business Analytics, Data Science, Information Technology or a related field of study with equivalent industry qualification and/or relevant work experience.
