This role is designed to develop and drive technical sales in ANZ with the adoption of Leica Workflow and IT Solutions and facilitate the integration of these platforms into customer sites.

This position is critical to the Organisation in achieving our goals for end-to-end and laboratory

workflow solutions.

**Major Responsibilities**:

- Develop and drive technical sales in ANZ customer accounts that have opportunities for the adoption of Leica Workflow Tracking Systems (CEREBRO) and Aperio Digital Pathology solutions.
- Facilitate the integration of these platforms (and BOND where applicable) into customer LIS systems. Liaise with Customer IT departments and Laboratory personnel to create confidence in the ability of Leica Biosystems to implement end-to-end solutions throughout the Laboratory.
- Project Manage and Implement (hands on) the installation of Leica systems (including but not restricted to CEREBRO and Aperio platforms), IT connectivity and interfacing with the Customer LIS / Servers etc.
- Perform laboratory workflow analysis in order to create and present superior workflows, streamlining and improving laboratory productivity and efficiency.
- Responsible for achieving sales targets and providing Technical IT connectivity installations and support for equipment in the clinical and research environments.
- Support similar projects across the wider APAC region as required.
- Responsible for leading and developing the Product Applications Team across ANZ

**Operations **Support**
- To implement, support and maintain the IT connectivity of the Leica histology portfolio.
- Demonstrate accountability for assigned IT and Workflow solutions as a factory trained Specialist.
- Provide direction, leadership, coaching and mentoring for the Product Applications Team across ANZ to achieve and exceed individual and business goals
- Work in collaboration with Sales Associates to uncover and develop sales leads.
- Adhere to all Sales and Technical policies and procedures.
- Promote the company with customers and play an active role in customer retention initiatives.
- Determine, recommend and implement solutions to customer software and hardware
- related requests.
- Lead and drive a culture of strong customer focus and change across the region
- SME for solving complex technical problems
- Perform Workflow analysis studies in chosen laboratories throughout ANZ
- Present Workflow and Connectivity solutions to all layers of the laboratory and C-Suite.
- Schedule own day-to-day activities for Sales and Technical activities in ANZ.
- Champion Danaher Business Systems (DBS) to drive continuous improvement.

**Regular contact **includes**:

- ** External: Customers at all levels within institutions including Laboratory and IT Departments, Lab IT LIS providers and C- Suite. Develop and manage relationships with suppliers of 3rd party IT hardware, imaging middleware and image analysis tools (including but not limited to Dell, SECTRA, Indica, Paige etc).**:

- ** Internal: Service Engineers, Sales teams, Finance & Service Admin team, Business Units. The Product Application Team will report into the Workflow / IT Manager.**:
**Qualification and Education **Required**:

- B. Science
- IT degree
- High level experience interfacing and maintaining LIS / HIS infrastructures
- Previous experience with Interfacing equipment to IT systems is essential
- Technically competent with proven strong people management skills.
- Proven ability to work in team environment.

**Preferred** **Skills**:

- Previous Sales, Applications or Engineering experience in the Pathology or Medical Device industry is highly desirable.
- Knowledge and experience in the Anatomical Pathology Area of the laboratory is highly desirable.
- Strong Analytical / problem solving skills: able to analyse and understand complex issues and consequently develop plans to:

- capture opportunities,
- avoid business and customer losses and
- to visualise customer disengagement trends to escalate issues to appropriate channels for follow up and resolution.
- Previous experience leading teams
- Be able to work under pressure and maintain discipline when situations become challenging.
- Displays positivity, self-motivated and entrepreneurial
- Excellent time management skills and comfortable working to deadlines.
- Possess a results and process-oriented approach.
- Strong team player comfortable at focusing and motivating the teams’ success.
