**About the role
The purpose of this position is to contribute to patient care by providing clinical support tasks delegated under the direct or indirect supervision of an allied Health Professional. The role works collaboratively with patients and multidisciplinary teams across up to eight units within the High Security Inpatient Service, Extended Treatment and Forensic Unit and Secure Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit.
This role works with multi-disciplinary teams to provide support for patients to achieve longer term goals of independent community functioning.
About you
Ability to communicate effectively, work collaboratively, problem solve and support decision making with involuntary patients and team members, in the context of a forensic mental health inpatient setting.
Self-management skills, including time management, an ability to organise and prioritise tasks and complete duties in a timely manner with limited supervision while being able to follow directions and work in a team environment.
Ability to participate in a recovery focused practices by working in collaboration with patients and treating teams, encouraging patient's progress towards meeting their own life goals.
Mandatory Requirements:
Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
