We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Therapy Assistant to join our team in Sydney’s Inner-West suburbs.
**About the Role**
As a Therapy Assistant, you will work closely with allied health professionals to support individuals with disabilities in achieving their therapeutic goals, enhancing their quality of life through personalised NDIS interventions. Your responsibilities will include:
- Working within multidisciplinary teams, gaining professional experience and insight into allied health practices.
- Implementing individualised therapy plans (e.g., physical, occupational, or speech therapy), integrating positive behaviour support plans and risk management plans, under the guidance of therapists and practitioners.
- Assisting clients with exercises, activities, and interventions to improve mobility, communication, or daily living skills.
- Monitoring and documenting client progress, sharing clear and timely updates with the support team.
- Supporting clients in community-based activities to promote engagement and skill development.
- Transporting participants to appointments or therapy-related activities, ensuring safe and reliable travel.
- Creating a safe, respectful, and empowering environment that honours each client’s preferences and dignity.
**Shift Details**
- **Location**: In-person, Inner-West suburbs.
- **Schedule**: Primarily weekdays (day shifts) with potential for evening or weekend work.
- **Flexibility**: Opportunities for additional hours based on availability.

**Essential Requirements**
- Full working rights in Australia.
- Experience in a support or therapy-related role, ideally with NDIS participants or high-needs clients.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance (or ability to obtain by meeting requirements and passing police check).
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) (or willingness to obtain).
- Valid First Aid certification.
- Current driver’s licence, access to a reliable vehicle with comprehensive vehicle insurance, and confidence driving in Sydney streets.
- Willingness to transport participants as part of the role.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- A genuine passion for empowering individuals with disabilities through therapeutic support.
