**Allied Health Assistant - Inpatient Rehabilitation**

**St Andrews Private Hospital, Ipswich**

**The Opportunity**

As the Allied Health Assistant, you will provide both clinical and non-clinical support, including physical patient support, to our Allied Health team including: Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Dietitians and Social Workers to ensure all patients receive high quality care.

**_ Duties will include (but not limited to):_**
- Conducting group activities/exercise sessions and individual treatments as allocated.
- Preparation of therapy areas, equipment, and materials.
- Assisting in patient escorting/transport to and from Gymnasium and therapy areas.
- Assisting in departmental / service administrative tasks and maintaining resources.
- Inspecting and maintaining mobility aids/rehabilitation equipment for safety and function.

This role will suit an individual with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills who thrives on working within a team. The ability to communicate effectively with clients / colleagues and a positive, enthusiastic approach to your work will be key to your success in this role.

**_ You will also bring:_**
- Recent, relevant experience in a hospital/rehabilitation environment and Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance will be highly desirable
- A positive and flexible approach to work in a developing service
- Experience in maanual handling will be highly desirable
- A desire to care and help a wide range of patient groups
- Provide a quality customer focused service
- Availability to work on some weekends and public holidays
