Supporting Abilities for Everyone (S.A.F.E.) is seeking a passionate Disability Support Worker(s) to join the team, located throughout Western-Melbourne. - 6-year-old male participant. - Melton West location. - Tuesday(s) (fortnightly) 7:45 am - 9:45 am, Friday(s) 2:45 pm - 6:00 pm, Saturday(s) 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm and Wednesday(s) mornings as required. Coverage for Monday 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm and Wednesday 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm also advantageous. - Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Level 3 diagnosis and experience required. - Experience with Behaviours of Concern (BOC) (pinching, hair pulling, scratching, etc) required. - Mostly non-verbal, utilising communication aides. Non-verbal experience highly regarded. - May require nappy changes from time to time. - Support workers under 35 years of age preferred due to participant's high energy levels. - Requires support with: School drop-off/pick-up, community access to local places i.e. parks, shopping centres, play centres, etc to build familiarisation and capacity, occasional attendance to therapy sessions with support team. - Participant interests include spending time in the backyard or playing in the house, listening to music on YouTube and watching rhymes. We are looking for a competent, enthusiastic and reliable Support Worker who possess the right empathy, interpersonal skills and ethics to prioritise the care of our clients. **Essential Selection Criteria (or willingness to obtain)**: - Current First Aid and CPR certificate. - Current National Police Check - Current Working with Children Check (Employee status/if working with participants
