**About the role**:
Due to an internal promotion, we have a great opportunity for a Media and Corporate Communications Manager to join our ESG and Corporate Affairs team and report to the Acting Head of ESG & Corporate Affairs for a 6 month contract.

In this role will be responsible for development and execution of strategic communications, government affairs strategy, stakeholder engagement, corporate reputation management, issues & crisis management and media relations. Work with key stakeholders to deliver annual financial and ESG reporting to Wesfarmers and develop the Officeworks People and Planet Positive Report.

You will partner with the Corporate PR and Content Manager, PR and Content Manager and Internal Communications Manager and their direct reports to plan and execute communications, ensuring sharing of information and consistency and sequencing of messaging to all audiences.

A key focus during this six-month contract is to deliver the People and Planet Positive Report.

Key Responsibilities:

- Execute Officeworks’ external communications strategy to support the organisation’s objectives to make Officeworks the most trusted / loved brand in Australia via strategic and tailored and targeted external communications and engagement with key stakeholders and advocacy of business objectives and ambitions (Corporate, ESG, B2B, Education)
- Develop the strategy and content for corporate external communications including half/full year financial, investor strategy presentations announcements, board reports, People and Planet Positive activity and business milestones.
- Execute the strategic government engagement strategy that positions Officeworks as a key retailer, employer and partner to government, making a positive difference for People and the Planet.
- Run the in-house media press office - seeking proactive media opportunities and responding in a timely and appropriate to the media enquiries and coordinating efficiently to ensure quality outcomes.
- Ongoing liaison with Wesfarmers Corporate Affairs teams in relation to media and analyst communications, content, events, briefings, market insight and various requirements throughout the year.

**About you**:

- Tertiary qualified (preferably Communications, Public Relations or Journalism)
- Relevant experience working inhouse or in a corporate communications agency
- Experience in communicating corporate strategy and financial results, within a publicly listed business.
- Excellent influencing and stakeholder management skills.
