Instructional Designer

Our client is currently seeking an Instructional Designer based in North Sydney to join their team on a 3 month contract with potential for on-going work. The purpose of this role is to design and develop educational solutions, incorporate best practice adult education principles and alignment with all VET and organisational standards. Complete analysis of feedback, attendance and post training embedding of learning to identify trends and insights for action.
**Key Responsibilities & Requirements**:
- Design and development of Training and Assessment approaches for courses, programs, curricula and campaigns.
- Consult Subject Matter Experts and stakeholders to define program and campaign requirements
- Recommend strategies to ensure training products are innovative, scalable, efficient to administer and deliver, and align to contemporary adult-learning theory and practice.
- Develop and maintain processes, templates and resources
- Develop training programs and resources, aligning with all relevant frameworks.
- Prepare project plans, ensuring all stakeholders are regularly updated on progress.
- Contribute to the development of quality campaigns, as required, to ensure the delivery of an immersive learning experience
- Utilise learning technologies, digital, audio-visual and written media authoring tools to develop immersive and interactive training experiences.
- Monitor program feedback, schedule and perform program updates in collaboration with training peers, program owners and SMEs.
- Analyse training and assessment feedback themes and suggestions from pre-training, post-course and 3 months post training longitudinal data to provide trends and recommendations for action
- Comply with Risk Management, Quality and Health, Safety and Environment management systems, including statutory obligations.
**Skills & Experience**:
- Critical thinking, trend extrapolation and decision-making
- Analysing and mapping training competency frameworks
- Understanding how adult learners acquire knowledge, skills and attitudes and matching with training methods and strategies
- Communication and creative skills to outline conceptual design and develop materials.
- Big picture conceptual thinking related to how the training solution fits into a broader capability uplift of the learner and those around them.
- Organisational skills to manage multiple development projects
- Experience with the national training system & regulated quality frameworks
- Adobe and Articulate suite of software.
- Digital immersive course development
**Qualifications**:
- Relevant training design, development or delivery qualification
