The Port Operations Manager at Point Wilson in Victoria is responsible to support and manage daily operation functions, workload management, and ensuring employees have the competency, direction and support to provide exceptional support to customers.

They will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and economical handling of vessel’s transfer operations while alongside at Point Wilson. The Port Operations Manager may be required to work overtime, weekends, and nights on occasion

**Responsibilities**
- Lead and manage direct reports, including managing and distributing workload in the team to ensure effective management of resources
- Establish and maintain formal and informal relationships
- Ensure strict compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental procedures.
- Provide management with updated information on customers, revenue opportunities and local rules and regulations and any changes.
- Ability to demonstrate sound judgement, initiative and flexibility to resolve day to day issues.
- Conduct vessel planning activities prior to the ship arriving.
- Perform port operations ensuring that they are conducted in accordance with the regulatory requirements of Commonwealth and State authorities.
- Assist in the development and implementation of local procedures for the conduct of Port Operations.
- Performing all arrangements regarding crew movements, medical cases and crew shore passes in coordination with Site Manager.
- Ensuring all cargoes, including dangerous goods and special cargo, are balanced, reconciled and reported within required timeframes.
- Develop, document and revise system design procedures, test procedures, and quality standards.

**Essential Skills**
- Must have NV1 Clearance. Baseline at a minimum
- Diploma of Business (Logistic Management) or equivalent or ability to obtain.
- Ability to travel intra/interstate.
- Demonstrated experience in Port Operations. logistics management.
