**Your role**

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Engagement Officer to join us as ‘our face’ and represent us in local communication and engagement efforts. This role will focus on ensuring that our stakeholder relationships are managed effectively while supporting the division's strategic direction.

As an Engagement Officer, you will deliver community engagement initiatives in line with the division's strategic direction. You will manage stakeholder relationships, develop communication plans, and ensure that stakeholders are informed, consulted, and actively involved in projects. This is a dynamic role that requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage a range of relationships within the community.

**What you’ll do**

As part of the Capital Maintenance Team, you will develop and implement community engagement plans in line with Homes NSW requirements to ensure stakeholders are consulted at the appropriate level and time, are provided with up-to-date information.

The Capital Maintenance Team is implementing a state-wide asset improvement initiative to public housing homes over the next several years. The role will work closely with social housing clients to ensure a clear understanding of Homes NSW project objectives and benefits, as well as co ordinate the sharing of information between maintenance service providers and social housing tenants which will assist in the delivery of works.

You will also support the Identifications of risks and opportunities associated with community engagement aspects for Homes NSW and develop and implement appropriate strategies and controls to minimise risk.

As a superb communicator, you will be involved with the preparation, production, and release of information both verbally and in writing and liaise with other division functional areas and external agencies as required.

**What we’re looking for**
- Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline (e.g., Communications, Public Relations, Community Engagement) or equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience.
- Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and communication management.
