Join a global freight forwarding business in their team in South Sydney as their Sea Freight Manager on a permanent basis, leading the sea freight team across import & export operations.

**Your new role**

In your role as Sea Freight Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

- Leadership of the day-to-day operations of the ocean freight team, including mentoring, coaching and performance management to ensure a high level of customer service.
- Managing operational efficiency within the department, making sure SLAs are maintained, establishing KPIs and seeking opportunities for improvement.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Prior experience in a management role within the freight forwarding industry in ocean freight import and exports, with air freight experience highly regarded but not essential.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex freight contract negotiations and form excellent working relationships with carriers and other third-party providers.
- People leadership skills, with a history of managing and mentoring high-performing teams.
