Freight Forwarding Role

The primary objective of a Freight Forwarder is to ensure the smooth transportation and shipment of export consignments from origin to destination.


This involves compiling, completing and verifying required documents in accordance with company policies and external regulations.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Process export sea consignments to meet customer expectations and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Deliver high-quality customer service by ensuring timely and accurate communication.
  • Collaborate with the Export Sea team to ensure accuracy and efficiency in all aspects of freight forwarding.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), customer instructions, and management directives to maintain consistency and compliance.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and service providers through effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Enter data accurately into CargoWise One and manage electronic commercial invoices (ECNs) and pick up requests (PRAs).
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong communicator with the ability to influence and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Calm under pressure and confident in managing challenges and making sound decisions.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and meeting deadlines to ensure timely delivery of services.
  • Analytical thinker with problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Proficient in CargoWise One, Microsoft Office, and familiar with industry regulations (RACA, IATA, Dangerous Goods).
