Cross River Rail will transform the way we travel to, from and through Brisbane in the future. It will be a catalyst for 10 years of wider rail transformation across the whole of South East Queensland and it is already playing a key role in how we prepare for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Cross River Rail is a new 10.2km rail line including 5.9km of twin tunnels running under the Brisbane River and CBD. It includes the delivery of four new underground stations, two new above-ground stations, accessibility rebuilds for six stations, the construction of three new stations on the Gold Coast, and the introduction of a new world-class 'ETCS' signalling system.

About the Role
The Requirements Management Advisor supports the delivery of system engineering activities for the Cross River Rail (CRR) project and related projects such as European Train Control System (ETCS) and New Gold Coast Stations (NGCS) focusing on the successful integration of these projects into the existing rail infrastructure environment.
This position reports to the Systems Engineering Manager and supports the execution of their duties including supervision of systems engineering deliverables performed by the Delivery Authority's delivery package partners ensuring contractual obligations are met. This opportunity is offered as a three year duration employment contract.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Support development of systems engineering artefacts in accordance with the defined processes.
- Support development of project requirements and support the review of system requirements specifications for traceability and compliance of contract obligations.
- Assist with project requirements change management.
- Support the review of the Cross River Rail system architecture and interface identification and management.
- Support the review of change requests for assessment of any potential requirements, systems architecture and interface impact.
- Support the Technical Integration team for management of risk and resolution of issues which may including preparing briefing notes and presentations.
- Support the review of contractor submitted systems engineering materials (i.e. management plans, analyses, and reports).

About You
The successful applicant will ideally hold most of the following competencies and experience. Recent graduates of relevant engineering disciplines are still actively encouraged to apply:

- Knowledge and experience with relevant systems engineering standards such as ISO 15288, INCOSE Handbook, configuration management standards.
- Critical thinking, planning, collaboration and communication skills.
- Experience working in a rail infrastructure / rail systems environment.
- Qualifications in engineering, systems engineering, aerospace, mechatronics, electronics or software.

**Desirable**:

- Certification in systems engineering.
- Registration in engineering (RPEQ).
- Rail domain engineering knowledge including an understanding of the rail regulatory environment.
