Roster Coordinator

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and maintain weekly staff rosters to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts and services.
- Coordinate shift allocations, ensuring compliance with relevant awards, regulations, and organizational policies.
- Monitor and respond to staffing needs, including filling vacant shifts, addressing last-minute changes, and managing planned and unplanned absences.
- Collaborate with the HR and Operations teams to ensure staff availability, qualifications, and compliance with required training.
- Manage timekeeping, attendance, and leave records for all staff.
- Use rostering software to efficiently schedule staff and ensure accurate records are kept.
- Ensure optimal staffing levels based on the needs of residents and operational requirements.
- Provide support and guidance to staff regarding roster changes and queries.
- Identify and report any potential issues or concerns related to staff availability and rostering.
- Assist in payroll preparation by ensuring accurate data on hours worked, overtime, and leave.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in a rostering or scheduling role, preferably in an aged care, healthcare, or similar setting.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in managing staff schedules.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with staff, management, and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in rostering and scheduling software.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Knowledge of industrial awards, workplace regulations, and compliance requirements related to rostering is preferred.
- A compassionate, team-oriented approach to work, with a focus on delivering exceptional care.
