Construction Supervisor

The Construction Supervisor reports to the Construction Manager - NSW Display/Special Projects and is part of the MJH Construction team. The key focus of this role is to oversee the build process of our display homes within set time frames and to the highest quality standard. More specifically, you will:

- Manage the construction process of between 5 to 9 display homes from start to finish
- Allocate materials and trades to job sites
- Ensure homes are built in accordance to approved drawings and the required documentation and paperwork is completed during the building process
- Coordinate all relevant activities whilst ensuring that workplace safety requirements are followed
- Be responsible for providing site staff with leadership, training and regular support
- Ensure all tasks are completed to the highest standard of quality and safety ensuring sites are clean and tidy at all times
- Contribute to the Company revenue and waste reduction through programming, monitoring suppliers/contractor’s performance, approving invoice after work has been completed and checked whilst always looking for areas that could be improved
- Ensure our valued sub-contractors and trades understand and are complying with the company Safety Management System, WH&S legislation and internal operating systems

- Experience in a similar role will be highly regarded
- A high level of motivation, be passionate in what you do and self-driven
- Considerable knowledge of the basic methods, practices, tools, materials and work standards related to the building of residential homes
- A strong project management ability to coordinate multiple trades and suppliers
- A Building Trade Certificate or tertiary education in Construction Management
- The ability to identify defects or problems proactively and take the necessary actions to rectify or prevent problems in an efficient manner

You will hold a current-driver’s license.
