**About the Role**

As the Accounting Services Officer you’ll work closely with the Coordinator Financial Accounting Services and other team members to ensure accuracy and timeliness in financial transactions, supporting the broader financial operations of Council.

Some of the key functions of this role include:

- Reconcile subsidiary ledger control accounts to trial balance on a monthly basis.
- Undertake general accounting duties such as journal preparation, monthly accruals and reconciliations as directed
- Credit cards - post entries and reconcile to monthly statement
- Managing accounts receivable - posting supplier invoices, match invoices to purchase orders, reconcile AP ledger, resolve discrepancies

We are seeking an individual who has demonstrated experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable and/or accounting services role. A degree or diploma in accounting or a related field is desirable, and local government experience is an advantage.
